At Majestique Landmarks, we take pride in our female staff members. And so, we would like to dedicate this Women’s day to getting to know them better.

Here is a discussion we had with the Women at Majestique Landmarks, and we can now say that we appreciate them some more everyday… In this discussion, we’ve spoken to members who have been working with us since 6 years, and also those who have joined the Majestique Family as recently as 3 months ago.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I want to be a successful woman and I want to prove my worth.
– Jeenal

I believe in Today, so if I work and balance my life well Today, that’s all that matters for me.
– Punam

I think long term goals are achieved through many short term goals, my current short term goal is to learn CRM-ERP effectively. And ultimately in 5 years I would like to see myself at a good managerial role at Majestique Landmarks.
– Shaila

I would like to see myself as more responsible and act as a project leader for my department.
– Archana

As one of the best HR Managers in the industry.
– Pratiksha

What is different about working as a woman today, as compared to 15 years ago?

Today’s woman is more independent and has the power of taking her own decision in every aspect of her life.
– Archana

Freedom is more as compared to the past, each and every woman is trying to be more independent.
– Monika

Things have definitely changed as compared to 15 years ago and now. Women were working earlier as well as now. The only difference is that they have stepped out of house. But they still have to manage both work and family.
– Punam

Working as a woman is very different than working as a man, as you have to look out after your family and house work. 15 years back it was difficult to manage all these things, but now we have learnt to do it all.
– Shaila

It is getting more challenging due to increasing competition in the industry.
– Jeenal

Can you tell us a little bit about your family at home?

I live with my grandmother. My parents passed away when I was 10 years old. My grandmother is very sweet and loving. My family is dependent on me in all aspects.
– Shaila

I thank god for giving me the best joint family that has a supportive culture for women.
– Pratiksha

I live with my mother, father (retired), brother and 2 elder sisters (who are all also working).
– Amruta

My family is very supportive and they always encourage me to take the right decisions.
– Sheetal

Mine is a nuclear family, comprising of my husband, my 3.5 year old little champ, and myself.
– Monika

Are there any challenges you face at home due to your work schedule?

Yes, Definitely. As we both are working we have to manage many things especially our son’s time. At this point I would say “Life is on Wheels”.
– Punam

Yes, some. Mainly related to my son, though I have overcome it by proper time management.
– Monika

Challenges makes everyone perfect. Daily challenges at home is to cook, wash dishes, clothes, and get ready myself before 10, which is a little tough to manage.
– Shaila

Giving sufficient time at home is equally important as a part of family. I trying to manage and balance my office life with home.
– Archana

None in particular.
– Sheetal

Are there any challenges you face at work due to family expectations?

Not really, as we both are working outside, we share work at home also. So it is a good balance of life, and we are teaching our son also to work and share.
– Punam

I do not let my family expectations interfere with my professional life.
– Shaila

Yes, to an extent.
– Amruta

At this moment “NO” because being a working woman has taught me how to manage both house and office efficiently.
– Monika

Not really.
– Pratiksha / Archana / Jeenal / Sheetal

Are there gender biases you face in the industry?

As far as construction industry is concerned, personally I don’t think there is any gender bias.
– Monika

Generally women are paid less than men when they do same work, which is one of the gender biases in the industry.
– Shaila

No.
– Pratiksha / Amruta / Sheetal

To some extent.
– Jeenal / Punam / Archana

What is a piece of advice you would like to give to your daughter / younger sister / niece / young girl in the family?

For me I have faced many difficult situations in my life in terms of the loss of my parents and close ones, where I lost my mental and financial support. And this is the time where I learnt many things. So I will suggest my daughter / younger sister / niece / young girl to be strong at every stage and face the problems, and not to run away from any tough situation.
– Shaila

I would advise my younger sister, never ever put yourself down just because you are a woman! Nothing is impossible in this world just keep faith in your own strengths, capabilities and powers. Only that before taking any step, just ask yourself whether what you’re doing feels right or wrong. If your heart says its right… Just GO AHEAD.
– Monika

Be self-dependent. Educate yourself at each field. Love yourself. Be confident always.
– Punam

Be yourself, be confident and be a independent and successful woman.
– Jeenal

Respect everyone, stay strong in any difficult situation, and prepare for all challenges in life.
– Archana
